I notice that most high schoolers are taller than adults. is this generation taller than the last? Why?

That depends on where you live. Apparently, Europeans are getting taller, and Americans are getting shorter. See reference below

You will probably hate this but - evolution. Also better nutrition and medical care. The average height of an adult in the early 20th century was 5'6" and average lifespan was 45.

If the agricultural & medical sciences made any advances. Then yes. Nutritional advances have increased peoples life spans,resistance to diseases and size.

It could be all the growth hormones that farmers us to fatten up and get their stock animals to get them to market faster. The faster an animal grows the less you have to spend to feed and house it. It all boils down to putting public health below the almighty $$$.

yes,here they are, they say it because of better nutrition then the former generations had during the growing stage. people in countries where they are eating the same thing their grandparen'ts eat arent getting bigger.
