I mean, they went over there to civilize them, right? Well, if they wanted to be civilized they would be!

Where did you get that we were sending our soldiers over to civilize the Iraqi's? They were civilized before we got there. They were also being randomly slaughtered by a brutal dictator who was a threat to peace and stability in the whole middle east. Your handlers are feeding you incorrect information.

Certain "Folks" in Iraq don't want this to happen, they view it as a threat to there Religion, Islamic Fascism. the feel that if they except democracy they will not be able to force their citizens into "Islamic Law".
Islamic law, by the way is the same law that allows a womens rapist to be let of unless there are 4 creditable male witnesses to say the women was raped, and if there aren't the women will be killed for adultery.

there isn't choice in Iraq your Islamic or you the enemy Most liberals, and atheist (1 in the same usually) don't realize that if the were in Iraq the would either be tortured into excepting Allaha or be killed,

some say this poses not threat to America i say we should all get our heads out of our rectums and see a threat for a threat.

once they over take the mid east they will surely attack us, because we don't support Allah or his idiotic fascist teachings.

this is the reason were in Iraq and will always have a presence in the mid east until there is a nation strong enough to hold its ground. Consider Iraq an investment in our future

by the way, i hope you realiezed this by now,
the media is not exactly an unbiased source of information. the only way to really know whats going on is to be a soldier by neighboor just came back from Iraq and informed me that from his first deployment to this one he has seen leap and bounds.
The Iraqi people don't hate us they support our efforts they cheer and way at the sight of a military convoy.
don't believe a thing the news says unless you know its the truth

Pure ignorance. I suggest you look into how the Iraqi people really feel. I just got done watching a documentary called Iraq, My Country it was everyday bottom of the line people expressing their view pre and post invasion/pre and post Gulf War. I'm steadfast in my opinion WE NEED TO HELP THESE PEOPLE! They want better lives and they want to work. Saddam railroaded his people. And they appear to be civilized to me already. They do not deserve the foreign insurgency. When will the UN and Democrats wake up? Iraq has a new government with problems that need to be dealt with. They are starting to step up. There is better days ahead if we see this through. The UN needs to put their heads together, investigate and help us stop the foreign insurgency so Iraq can have breathing room to grow. The Democratic leadership needs to start focusing on the problem instead of on George Bush and slandering his GOOD NAME...

You realize that you are talking about a place that is the home of Mesopotamia...the center of civilization. Remember once too, that we lived through an era very much like the Era that Iraq is going through right now.

I don't agree with sending soldiers over there, but not because I am a bigot.

To protect our freedom, ostensibly. I'm not any freer than I would have been otherwise, though. Iraq has never threatened ANY American's freedom... that September thing in NY was carried out by Saudis, if you recall.

The real reason is that defense contractors like Northrop-Grumman and General Dynamics, as well as service providers like Halliburton all contributed millions to Bush's presidential campaign, and he is repaying the favor by starting a war that is really, really profitable for those companies. Really.

your question is too late....they are already there, so maybe you should be asking what is the point of keeping them there, and to that i would at this point say there is a strong desire to not fail or give up.....basically a lot right now has to do with pride and being stubborn

The whole exercise boils down on ego. Might is right! Why wasn't Russia invaded for same offence with their neighbours?
