Doctors tell us not to give a child peanut butter until they are at least two because of possible allergies. Then it should depend on their eating habit. If they have a tendency to choke easily, I would wait. Peanut butter is in the top ten for things that children choke to death on.

If you don't have any peanut allergies in your family history, I would say they can have peanut butter around 3 years old. I would wait to give peanuts until they are 5.
