This is not about the Christian Bible, the Jewish Toran, or any other religious text. If the Quran is truly an accurate revelation from God, it should be able to stand on it's own.

Either the Quran is the word of God or it is just another religious myth or legend. Proof should not be hard to find.

And no insults please, this is a serious question.

When I ask for proof that the Quran is a revelation from the Angel Gabriel I would like something that is not self certifying.

For one to say that God (in the Quran) says that the Quran is the Word of God is a not a proof, but is self serving.

If I wrote a book that claimed to be the World's Best Book and the only proof that I presented that it was the World's Best Book was a paragraph in the book, you would laugh at the self serving argument!

Please think about this serious question and give a logical answer or else all the readers will believe that there is no proof that the Quran is the Word of God except that Muhammad said in the Quran that God said the Quran was the Word of God!

Again, this is not about other religious texts. We can question those later if you desire.

The Word of God or possibly another Religious myth or legend or outright lie!?

Isaiah Chapter 29, Verse 12 "And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned."

Isaiah Chapter 12, Verse 1-2

"1 Woe to Ariel, to Ariel, the city where David dwelt! add ye year to year; let them kill sacrifices.

2 Yet I will distress Ariel, and there shall be heaviness and sorrow: and it shall be unto me as Ariel."

Since Ariel is "A symbolic name for Jerusalem (Isa. 29:1-2, 7) as "victorious under God," and in Ezek. 43:15-16, for the altar (Hebrew: "'ariel") of burnt offerings, the secret of Israel's lion-like strength."

I don't think that this verse has anything special to do with Muhammad. Especially since the majority of the people were unlearned. Christians, was Jesus Christ educated?

Thank you for asking this. I want to know too. Muhammed claimed to be a prophet, but to me he is very unlikely prophet of God of Abraham. There is not reference to him in the Bible, he did not perform miracles, he lived very questionable life style.

I hope our Muslim friends can give you good answers to this question, because I really want to know too. Muslims believe that the Quran is an exact copy of the original in heaven. And it is believed that no translation of the Quran ca substitute for the original Arabic. These are quite claims.

I need to apologize first for a lengthy answer but since it is necessary to "prove" a logic to answer the question, pardon me for the same.

God Almighty knew that many would doubt the authenticity of the Quran and would ascribe it to Prophet Muhummad. Therefore God in His Divine Wisdom chose the last and final Messenger to be an unlettered / illiterate, so that the talkers of vanity would not then have the slightest justification to doubt the Prophet.

God reconfirms in the Quran in chapter 7 verse 157:

"Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (Scriptures) in the Law and the Gospel"

The prophecy of coming of the unlettered Prophet is also mentioned in the Bible in the book of Isaiah chapter 29 verse 12.

"And the book is delivered to him that is not learned."
[Isaiah 29:12]

The Quran testifies in no less than four different places that the Prophet was illiterate. It is also mentioned in chapter 7 verse 158 and in chapter 62 verse 2.

There are several similarities in the Quran and the books of Bible. Prophet Mohammad spoke only one language that is Arabic. The Arabic version of the Bible was not present at the time of Prophet Muhummad. The earliest Arabic version of the Old Testament is that of R. Saadias Gaon of 900 C.E. - more than 250 years after the death of Prophet. The oldest Arabic version of the new Testament was published by Erpenius in 1616 C.E. - about a thousand years after the demise of Prophet Mohammad. Therefore, it cannot be said that Prophet Mohammad learned the books of Bible and translated into Arabic. Only a revelation through a source, such as angel Gabriel, could have made the mention of similar facts in the Bible and the Quran possible.

No one has done so yet......But then, as one of The True Christian Faith I can not "prove" any thing to you either. Nor can any other of The Faith... I do not ask any islamie to "prove" any thing...For those who are of The True Christian Faith there is no doubt of the falsness of the islam deception... But we do not take a sword to the non-believers... We know The Truth and share it with those who ask... if they trust us enough to be able to call out to God in The Way God prescribes, Then they too will know The Truth... and they too will be unable to "prove it to any one.... but The Truth is still The Truth... and islam is still a deception.

are you asking for proof of the Quran? there are many scientific discoveries that have just been found that correlate with the Quran's verses written before there was any technology like today. do you expect me to prove my religion? can religion even be proved? can you prove the bible? sorry for all the questions but i really dont know what you expect by your question. if any religion could be proved there would be no non-believers.

I mean no offense to the Muslims, but you're right.
Besides, the Muslims claim that the Koran is further revelation from God, so why does it not correlate with what the Bible says? That part makes no sense at all.

The serious answer to your serious question: sorry, the qur'an (koran, etc) can't be taken seriously. Unless, of course, you discount and discredit the holy books of Judaism and Christianity and suspend belief in astronomy, physiology, anatomy, history, etc.
