In the fog?

If you're speeding when its foggy and you set off a speed camera do you still get the points/fine or does it just take a picture of fog?

Yes, speed cameras work.

It depends on how dense the fog is/was.

I hope so cos if your speeding in fog then you deserve to get a fine !! i travel overe 50,000 miles a year as an assessor for Mercedes Benz nad the stupidity of peoples driving never ceases to amaze me, am i a perfect driver ? hell no but i have enough common sense and value for my life and others not to pull a stupid trick like that

If the fog is so bad that the camera won't register the plate number, it will also be too bad for anyone to speed....unless they're idiots......in which case I hope that when they kill themselves, they don't take an innocent bystander with them.

Try going through a 30mph one at 60 you will soon find out

Yes of course they still work. You will still get fined

Slow down and keep within the limits is the only safe way to keep your licence and hopefully keep alive

If you get a fine then ask for a picture to determine how clear the reg plate is.

i would imagine that you will still get the points and or fine as it uses a high powered flash, if you imagine you can see so far with fog lights on, you can see that a high powered flash will get your number plate!

you are still likely to be prosecuted for speeding as the camera sensors saw you enough to activate it
