I can just imagine what mine would do. First she would try to buy a horse and other animals. She would be struck by how much money that is and think it was a lot more then it actually is. But for her it would mainly be geared around horse stuff. Although I know she would also spend it on the family too. She is good hearted like that! Even if you give her an extra dollar she tries to figure out how to spend it on everyone.

I don't think a 12 yr. old should have that much money! I'd let her spend a couple hundred then save the rest for her. Letting a 12 yr. old spend that kind of money is not teaching them the value of money along with alot of other bad influences.

My daughter has about 3,000 dollars from her grandma and she decided to save it for college, car, and gas (for car.) She is twelve and in 6th grade and really responsible. I would tell your daughter that if she spends all of it, she could have been using it in it in the future for something important such as college, house, personal expenses, etc. DO NOT THROW THAT KIND OF MONEY AWAY

Considering the fact that I am a 12 year-old daughter, I would use it to buy great gifts for my friends & family on their birthdays and Christmas! Maybe a few nice things for myself too! We girl tweens are not evil or irrisponsible! (Maybe the boys are...)

My son would buy an ATV with it, and rack up Wii points. But he's already planning on how to save up to buy a car. So I'm sure that he'd put the rest in the savings he just emptied for his Wii.

Well I dont have a 12 year old daughter, but I do have a 12 yr old sister. I would actually say that my sister would prob leave it in her room to collect dust, because she doesnt like to buy anything. I would say that most 12yr olds would prob. waste it.

THem most probable thing is buying a video game system when it is aboy or clothes if it is a girl. Teach her to learn to save her money for later years, she might save it for high school/ college.
