Ive never done acid but I was just wondering what happens when you get a flashback.

All of these answers about it being stored in the body are just silly. See reference below. . LSD flashbacks happen just because it can be an intense experience. You can have "flashbacks" about any intense experience or memory in your life. Also, flashbacks don't have to be negative, they can also be positive. I've used LSD and had a couple of experiences that seemed like flashbacks within a few months of taking it, but they weren't at all unpleasant or disorienting.

In the 70's I did over 300 hits of acid from Feb 1973 to Oct 1976. the acid then was from 250 to 400 mcg/hit 10 times what's available today. I can certify, testify and swear to the fact that I never had a bad trip or any subsequent flashbacks. I feel that anyone or anybody who has had or did have such a reaction were probably borderline psychotics to begin with. Thank you for letting me share.

Most of the posts seem to have it about right. They are usually extremely brief, a few minutes maybe. If the acid is really good it will affect your vision. Contrary to popular belief it doesn't just makes things appear that are not there, but it will distort and morph what your eyes are seeing. You hear about the classic TV or other appliance melting while watching it.

I've heard that when you take LSD some of the chemicals in the drugs are stored in your spinal cord. They say that sometimes jarring the spine or flying at high altitudes can release the chemicals into your blood again, making you have the same kind of symptoms that you may have when you take a hit of acid, such as tracers, shallow breathing, hallucinations paranoia and others.

The drug can be stored in your spinal column. When you get a flash back they are usually brief, a few minutes but can seem longer. They can effect your vision and thinking.
My advise is never do acid and never have to worry about it.don't

an acid flashback can occur if you crack your back a certian way. what happens is the place, connecting your brain and spind, has spinal fluid storing exess of the acid you once took. its uncommon but when it happens thats what makes it happen i think
