The misconduct can be reported to the service for investigation. The problem is that it could result in demotion, a fine, or even outright discharge. If you're already cash-strapped from a soldier's deployment and trying to support a kid or two, every penny counts.
I support just working this through the civil process and leaving the military out of it. Gather the evidence and sock it to him when he comes off the plane. Heck, have him served as his boots hit U.S. soil, if you're sure he did you wrong.
Be sure, though. Suspicions don't count.

1st off, cheating has ZERO to do with being a soldier or deployed. If you are going to be unfaithful it really wouldnt matter whether you are a baker, stock broker or soldier. If you have proof or suspect that your husband is cheating, you can contact his chain of command. It is against regulation to commit adultery.
PunchGod, I have been a military spouse for 18 years and have yet to cheat on my soldier... So, it isnt common, I can promise that..

Absolutely. There are several ways to handle this problem: Talk to the base/post chaplain, Talk to family services or talk to their NCOIC. The latter I would recommend as a last resort.
The chaplain would probably be the best. In any case, he/she can point you in the right direction and the meeting would be discrete.
I understand what you mean though, I was stationed in Ft. Richardson Alaska for 3 years and saw infidelity all the time. It's almost an Army tradition. Good luck.

on or off base, it doesn't matter I'd hope my ol' lady would do the same, divorce my sorry ash, for that kind of disrespectful behavior; looking is one thing but actually doing something outside the marriage just isn't right no matter how often it's done by nearly all of today's society. I think people who aren't content in a relationship should get out of it before dipping in to somebody else, think of the possibilities of s.t.d.'s that'd be kicking her when she's already down... such a shame...

You can divorce him. But the other side of the coin is that many spouses are destroying their families by starting new relationships while their spouses are deployed in Iraq.

Just because you husband is getting some strange, doesn't mean all husbands are. In the time it took you to blanket accuse all soldiers of adultery, you could have had some green tea, listened to buddist chants and calmed down.

Men these days seem to have the commitment levels of a peeled onion. I'm sorry this is going on. Hope someone can help you and hope he gets fired and loses all his benefits and then has 5 Iraqi children to support.

Actually, it is far more common for women to have affairs when their husbands are overseas. I had two friends in the military who came back and found their wives had new mates.

Report him to his command sergeant, immeadiately! Or, talk to your IG on base. IG's handle every and any complaint, from soldiers, civilians, or whoever. Don't let this just go, someone needs to know.
