you get used to each other without a full commitment. The other person makes messes and you always either have to clean them up yourself or get on them to do it (or have it be a mess). You either have to miss your TV shows or they have to miss theirs (or you can't watch TV together). You don't get sleep if your partner snores. You have to agree on what to eat or eat separately. You miss them when they're not home but when they are home, you want your own space. You have to share space and might not appreciate their taste in furniture, decorations, etc. You might fight over what you spend money on. Paying the bills can be a hassle.

Only thing I can think of, is having to pack and leave, if ya'll break up. Living together can reveal little quirks about each other, that you may or may not be approving of.

You dont have the security of him really belonging to you.
Did you see that movie "The Break Up" ? It was sad.
But do you think that you should be "playing house" ? If he really loves you, he will marry you.
