IF someone writes a letter to the governor including notes from some of the well known poeople from his county indicating what he represents as a person. do u think the governor will take this under consideration to pardon his first offence criminal record. is a misdemenor and he was only 20 at the time........got accepted to NYU and doesnt want to be stigmatized for life......

Since i can't vote yet i will say Benny is right about how you will have to get it done .
Asking a Governor to grant a pardon is for people who are in jail or on death row what you want to do is get a misdemenor expunged from you record and a judge is the only one who can do it .

And you have the right idea about bringing in folks who can say yes you are a good person and deserve a break

I spent 20 months in prison in Okla-coma and yes you do have to get a pardon from the Governor only if you have served time in prison, not probation.

good luck...its worth a shot but usually the gov has a stack of pardon requests and only grants a handfull a yr. you would possibly have a better chance at going to the court and request an expungement.

Hell, go for a Presidential Pardon. That way, just in case you murdered someone in another state by accident, it would be pardoned as well.
