People have told me to stop looking for love, and let it find you. I have been doing this for along time, and still love has not found me. Is what people have been telling me true that love will find you, or is it all rubbish?

Also for those people who did stop looking for love, how long was it before you found it?

well by not looking for love we dont mean sitting in your house waiting for it to knock on your door.just be a little more relaxed and not so desperate to find love.

Obviously love wont just come knocking at your door one day, unless you love the postman of coarse.
Seriously though love just doesn't appear it has to grow from something and you have to put yourself out there. Go out with your friends, talk to new people and before you know it you might actually find someone you really like.
You should not be waiting for love because then you will just fall for the first person that shows an interest, take your time. Your turn will come soon enough you just have to be patient.
Good luck xxx

I think what is meant by this is that if you are trying to find someone to love and love you, you are probably trying too hard. That puts people off and so it tends not to happen.

You're better to just go along acting "normally" and just getting on with people in a general way. Then you may find that you click with someone; but if you push it, it tends not to happen. Make sure you go places where youcan meet lots of different people.

Also, don't worry about the time thing. An uncle of mine didn't get married till he was nearly fifty and one of my sons is only just starting out on this at 35.

Good luck!

It's true there is a vibe around people who are looking, even though you kid yourself that you are not looking subconsciously you are and people sense it and you attract the wrong type. In hindsight I was looking for love and got married for all the wrong reasons, the marriage didn't last and probably because I was pre-occupied with that I met somebody else and we are still together 13 years on. I guess things work out in different ways for different people.

You should be aggressive in your search for love. Other people who said that to you don't know jack. You need to start talking to more women and start dating as many of them as you can. That's the only way you're going to find love. Statistically, and the laws of probability dictate that the more women you date, the more you will have a chance of finding love.

Try and imagine how bad it would be to fall in love with the wrong person.I would really like to encourage you to look to God to help you with this.I really am not trying to preach although I am,but I am speaking from experience and God can make a tremendous difference in your life.I would like to share with you a story from the Bible on this subject, you will find it in Genesis chapter 24. I believe God can help you the same way that He helped Isaac here in this story. Please read it,you have nothing really to lose.

I'm still waiting for true love to find me....i know it is hard...and i sometimes lose hope...but i believe that love finds you when you least expect it...so what i am trying to do now is just to focus on my life and making my heart heal from a previous heartbreak....

I hope true love finds you soon...you will find it...but you just have to wait for a good thing to happen....remember, love finds you when you least expect it....

Good Luck!

I was 47 when it happened for me. I had practically given up.
It seems that people like me who have found the one...always say be patient, it will happen, but maybe we are just thinking that if it happens for us it must happen for everyone.

So, no...it is not rubbish...the problem is, we just don't know until we find it.

Wish I could be more helpful. Fingers crossed for you.
