There are many people (Gujjars & Marwaris) in Delhi who fart in public only in front of the people who are lower (in income & stature) and show they eat healthy food

No its not any sign of health or prosperity rather a sign of perversion. There are ways by which this public emission of intestinal wind may be checked or diverted. This is pure lack of civic sense and should be denounced. As some of most lawful and natural things are privately performed, like using toilet, engaging in sex with spouse so this is also, better if done privately.

Well the doctor guy on Oprah the other day, stated that a good healthy person farts 13 to 14 times a day. I believe some should hide it a bit better, the sound is so gross!

In Delhi, if that's what they do, it's their culture.
