What is your favorite color? I think the translation is...
"Was ist deine Lieblingsfarbe?" for informal.
"Was sind Ihnen Lieblingsfarbe" for formal. (Not sure on this one.)

Lol, just make damn sure you know how to pronounce it in German. It would sound terrible if you said it as you would read it in English.
It would be :
1. Welches ist Ihre bevorzugte Farbe? (formal addressing to somebody you do not know well),
2. Welches ist deine bevorzugte Farbe? (when you address somebody with whom you are, say, on a first-name basis or close to)
The letter W in German equates a "V" in English,
the letter V in German equates a "F" in English,
the lettre U in German sounds like a short "oo", like you'd say zoo, but fast, and without the z,
and you want to give a tiny space between each word when saying them.

Was ist deine lieblingsfarbe...for the informal, like if you were talking to a friend.
Was ist Seine lieblingsfarbe...if you are asking someone whom you don't really know.
