I read somewhere that if you get your eyebrow pierced, you risk your face becoming paralyzed if a nerve is hit. Could that happen plucking your eyebrows?

Piercings go underneath the skin wheras plucking remains on the surface of the skin and only the first layer of skin. There is no danger.

No. When u pierce ur skin u have the chance of damaging a nerve because ur going right through the skin. But when u pluck ur eyebrows u have no chance of damaging a nerve at all because ur just pulling hair..

Your hair folicles don't go so deep as to risk pinching a nerve in the same way as piercing....the eyebrow hair is only a few mm under the skin, whereas when you pierce your eyebrow, you are actually sticking something in your skin, and much deeper than where your hair folicles are

plucked eyebrows that don't tournament are the worst. thick eyebrows could be very rather, finding on your face! unplucked could be ok too, for the reason that some human beings have needless to say rather eyebrows.

u mean plucking or piercing...plucking is removing th hair...but u mean piercing..which is poking into ur brows..wat do u mean

definitely plucking is not dangerous ..only thing is that it hurts..thats it...its advantageous cos it makes ur brows grow and darkens it if its not all that clear and thick..so u can plcuk eyebrows if u dont cry while plucking it

I don't think so. But be careful nonetheless. And it's true about the piercing thing. My sister's friend pierced her ear once and there was something growing out of it. She thought it was a strand of hair so she pulled it. Apparently it was a nerve in her ear. Her left eye is now blind. **** happens.

I certainly don't think so. I've plucked my eyebrows for several years, and so do most of my friends, and we've had no problems. so I think it's safe to pluck!
Merry Christmas!

No, I wouldn't think so. There's sometimes a bit of a sting (makes my eyes water a little bit) when plucking, but it's not harmful.

(Though I suppose there is always the danger of poking yourself in the eye...;)...)
