wrong category.
but, here goes.
China, is making the biggest mistake in it's history.
As a new power in industry, it is basing it's entire economy on non- renewable energy. Tying industry to fossil fuels will bring down every country that does this.
Unlike Japan, Australia, and Germany, who are all converting to an increasing reliance on solar electricity, China is totally ignoring it's clear opportunity to build on renewable energy.
At the same time, without environmental protections, they are rapidly polluting their country on a scale that eclipses even the US carelessness of it's industrial revolution.
There are no labor laws to make sure workers earn a live able wage. And the oppression of the government against those of differing viewpoints (religious, or ideological), ensures that many of the wealthiest and most educated Chinese will leave the country at the first chance.
China has a long history, but the current situation in China is one of a dire future. As it's people are poisoned by reckless industry, their long term prospects will fall, and the shift of industry will swing in the direction of whatever countries have enough foresight
to free themselves of fossil fuels or nuclear energy.

They pretend to have free religion, but impose things on the religions.
They pretend to have free markets, but impose protections and plans on them.
They pretend to protect freedom, but restrict movement.

However, I do believe that they are moving toward these things. They can't really help doing so, as it is moral to do so, and there will be a revolt if they do not. It is an interesting government to see mature, even if it is an unfortunate that many of the people are oppressed and much of the world is paying the price.

Well, I think they need to diversify a little in the clothing department. Black and green and red are all well, but, adding some highlights and a few more open colors would be a breath of fresh air.....

It is their government and none of my business. How would you like for them to come and try to improve our government?

It's communist and at times tyrannical, like it was with Tianmen Square.
It would be better for the Chinese people if it were Democratic.
Freedom is a good thing, after all.
