I have a dog that is 1/2 pug-1/2 Boxer. He's very spoiled. O.k. so when I get company he does not shut his mouth. He barks and whines and barks and whines. I get so frustrated! I had company over last night and he did it most of the night. Everyone think's he's so cute and they want ot play with him. I don't know whether to blame him or them. Also I do not want to seperate him from myself and my company.

You might try some thing simple first, but you'll have to do something you don't want to do.
Give him lots of attention when he's quiet. Put him outside immediately after he starts barking.
Of course, your neighbors might object -- in which case you'd put him in the basement or in some isolated spot. In other words, attention is his reward for not barking, the lack of it his punishment.
Your choice is to get yourself frustrated or get him out.

Why do you think he's barking? Does he want something? Try snuggling up with him and let your company do it too. He probably needs attention. If he already has too much attention then maybe you need to walk him before your friends get there so he is too tired to bark or whine.

Dogs bark if their owners pet them a lot. Like humans they also need to be scolded. The next time he barks tell him to stop. If that doesnt work, get little angry at him. I bet it ll work.

stuff a sock in his mouth lol jk, just dont spoil so much when someone comes over put him in a room so u cant hear him, its like puttin down a baby and they cry alot and u just dont pick them up bcuz ur tryin to break them out of the habit, just like ur dog used to gettin attention

you can train a dog not to bark too much but after all it's an animal and they go by their nature.

when your dog starts barking spray him with a spray bottle full of vinegar and water it will not hurt him he just doesn't like it it should get him to stop.

you could get one of those collars that teaches them not to bark, it emits a weak electrical shock everytime they do and if you reinforce it with a sharp 'no' or hand signal it really helps. otherwise just teach him not to by word or signal
