I have a jacuzzi tub in my room, there's no door because it's not in the bathroom. It's kind of like a dressing room area. Anyway the cat is about 3 months old and it thinks it's a big kitty litter I guess. Is there any thing I can spray it down with or do I just have to live with it? He does go in his box but if my door is open he will run in there and go straight for the tub! Thank goodness those are the only two places he goes.

Hello ocean86, cat does have and use the litter box! I'm asking if there's a product I could buy that would annoy or irritate the cat if it tried to pee there!

You need to train the cat not to do this. Best advice I can give you is this, Put a little bit of water in the tub (enough to cover his paws). Once the cat jumps in he will jump back out. Do this for a few days, after awhile the cat will give up on the idea of the tub being his second potty away from his litter box. Good Luck to you.

BTW, do not put the litter box in the tub, this gives the cat the idea its okay to even be in the tub and that its a place to use his litter box. Your trying to stop this behavior.

You can also try using two small little boxes on each side of the house. This way the cat has a choice of which litter box until he gets a bit older and will start using one main one. Some cats are just finky! lol

You can give him a "hint" by putting the litter box in the tub.
He may just surprize you or shrug it off and scoff at you
nose in the air. If this don't work. He's got some serious
issues. If the box in tub don't work.Try putting his bowl in
there.Animals usually don't like to eat where they go.
Make sure the litter box is maintained well.Maybe you have it
too clean? You have to leave a lttle for him to remember.
You can also try getting him neutered (Male cats are notorious
for this kind of behavior. They mark they're territory.Maybe
it is'nt urinating but "marking" He is only three months old
and still a kitten.Maybe that is it,but you are best trying to
detour this behavior the sooner the better.Stay calm and
only use one word you intend him to learn.Short and simple
is best.A simple "no" will do repeat often.Animals cannot
learn complicated sentences.Don't forget a scratch post
for your new kitty friend. He will be also discovering those soon
also.A simple "No" is fine for that to.Be greatful it is in the
bathtub, easy to clean rinse out and not else where. You are
probably one of the lucky ones there.Cats have been actually trained to use the toilet. After all he's pretty close.lol

I too am owned by means of cats I like the water notion in the bathtub bathtub. One more potent approach too is to periodically direct spray the discipline of offense with a 50/50 white vinegar and distilled water spray bottle. The acidic odor of the white vinegar turns cats off, also if it hits any "smooth" areas, then it is non-staining due to the fact of no dyes and the distilled water having minimal mineral residue Consistency is vital. At any time when you clean the box, gently decide upon your cat up and location them in the box and pet them as a constructive action reinforcement and proof the box is prepared for use. The cat will leap out and do this 2 extra instances then enable the cat to leave. Do this several days unless you see your cat self initiate the litter field use again each and every cat is different. Some cats even demand it to be done twice a day and others are content material to go a whole week. It's all about how fastidious they are about. Additionally, distinct granule size makes some cat paws extra touchy then different, odor of the field or litter clay or pellets, and so forth. May also turn a cat far from its box. You will have to periodically thoroughly clean the box freed from ALL litter (this iincludes clumping litter) and easy the complete box with bleach water and permit to dry complete and for odor neutralizing, that vinegar water combine is perfect for urine accidents moreover to conduct manage My cat sees the vinegar water come out, she right away bolts from the desk or whatever other floor she is making an attempt to deem as hers and i'm being selfish to scat her off of the skin. The younger one is a little autistic and loses his litter field area if he strays too a ways faraway from it so the spray bottle neutralizes the accident field to remove the marking spot and likewise deters him from beginning if I catch him earlier than he has began. Good luck

try a bit of vinegar in the area.

Also, get a spray bottle and fill with water. When you catch the cat going into the hot tub, spray the cat and yell "No!" It'll be feared. That's how my parents kept me out of the fridge when I was little.

A trucker who has been out on the road for three weeks stops into a brothel outside Vegas.
He walks straight up to the Madam, drops down $500 and says, "I want your ugliest woman and a bologna sandwich!!"
The Madam is astonished. "But sir, for that kind of money you could have one of my finest ladies and a three-course meal."
The trucker replies, "Listen sweetheart, I ain't horny, I'm homesick."
