Chiweenies (the actual name of your hybrid dogs) for some reason don't go into as radical of heat as larger dogs, but the fact that she's been so lovie on you means she's probably in her first cycle, but probably a little confused by her hormones, so she's looking to you for comfort, love and understanding from her mommy, she doesn't understand h*rny yet. She should complete her cycle in about 3 weeks from start to finish. This sounds kind of mean but it isn't, if you grab the back of her neck (imitate a male dog biting her neck), her vagina should pop out just a little when she's receptive and in her fertile stage. You didn't mention if she's had any bloody show (doggie period). She's at the perfect age to be spayed, if you don't plan on breeding her, she'll live longer with less health problems, but for now, just love her all you can, everything's gonna be okay.
Please give your little sweetie a hug from me

I have a 4 1/2 pound papillon and she went into her first heat at about 8 months, the range is between 7-10. depending on the size of the dog, good luck!

Should be in heat any time now so hopefully she'll get spayed before she gets "accidentally" bred!
