The 10 commandments where given so that we may know and describe "sin". All mankind is condemned by them, for everyone is guilty of at least one. You can sin against God and/or other people. It is the absence of loving and caring about God or others. These laws can be summarized as " Love God with all your heart, mind and soul" and "Love one another". Transgressing these "moral" laws results in the "death" of our relationship. The wage, what we get then for sinning, is death. The damaging or ending of our relationship with the one we offended. With God, it also means eternal death and separation of our souls from Him. All mankind, every individual, are in this sinful, separated state. That is until God, in His mercy and grace, forgives them.
It is just like when you have done something wrong to someone, you no longer have a relationship with them, until that person forgives you. Your relationship is "dead", until that time. You usually have to express sorrow for offending them, and assure them that you do not intend to do it again. That is repentance, and that is what God is asking you to do with Him through Jesus Christ.

For every deed there is a punishment or a reward and for most causes there is an effect. For example in our society the wages of smoking is a disease, the wages of not doing your homewark is a zero. According to J. Preston Eby considering the issue of the eternal punishment of the lost, many people can only visualize this punishment as bitter . In other words, sinners are afflicted by God because of God's intolerable disposition towards them in their sin.
Imagine a world full of unsaved sinners who are not willing to accept christ, imagine authorities trying to capture and stop evil but to no avail. Yet the bible has thought us that for every one who sins has the wage of death, no bad deed goes unpunished by God unless of a sincere heart you seek forgiveness. And also no good deed goes unrewarded by God. In all his ways he is just and knows what He's doing.

Sin, is what separates you from God. It comes in action and in thought. Do not look at it as a particular thing you do, but a state of existence.
You are asking the 100 million dollar question. Why does God require a sacrifice? Answer- we do not know. I could say that it is a trait, that you would exhibit. To be concerned with others...in a display of God, thru you. But, it doesn't answer your question.

While never precisely stated in scripture (or elsewhere) God seems to operate based on a series of ages or dispensations, in which only the best of the previous dispensation is carried over into the next.
In the biblical parable of the wheat and the tares, this is clearly explained.
The good crop (wheat) is harvested and retained. The tares (weeds) are burned up and destroyed.
C`est La Vie ... C'est La Mort.

you must remember that our creator is the only true God. He has things set up in his goverment that cannot change. We as human beings cannot stand in front of him without being distroyed. He clothed himself in the form of a servant and died the death that we deserve so that we would have someone to stand in our stead in the judgement. For those who take Jesus as their savior and do not deni him He will not deni in heaven. All those who choose not to believe will be distroyed. 6000 years ago our creator set in course a way that all the fallen angles could have a chance to get back to him and know him, before he destroyed all that rebelled against him in heaven including Satan himself. He created Adam and Eve for just that purpose. It took 27 ½ years for Satan to deceive eve and 3 ½ years for them both to convince Adam to sin. Our creator gave 7000 years to fulfill this to happen. At the end of the 6000 years he would come to this earth and destroy all that still rebelled an take all that were His to heaven with Him. He says that after the next 1000 years that He will come back to this earth and raise those from the dead and destroy all that rebelled in heaven and did not want salvation on this earth and utterly destroy them. This is the wages of sin that is quoted to you. You have this short time of a life time to decide if you want this total separation from our Creator. People teach that its life in fire forever but it is total death never to be remembered even by God. He says that He will forget you. Isaiah 66 tells us that when this earth is made back to its original beauty and the saints live here that the ashes of the wicked will be dust under the feet of those who do choose life.

the wages of sin are death because sin separates us from god (isaia59:2)and god represents light and if you are not in the light then you are in the dark . which means you are with satan.those who are with satan do not recieve the gift of eternal life and whats the opposite of life .DEATH!!!!!this is a spiritual death but once again if you have no interest in becoming a believer then this means nothing to you.

No evil or uncleaness can come before God (and yes, it would take a long time for me to justify every action attributed to God - but - the dead are His) AND He is an absolutely just judge, SO the wages for sin is death or Hell, as reflected in life...
For instance if you commit adultery in life, you will feel guilty or pompous and if you wife finds out or notices it will destroy your life - Hell. You could liken this to Heaven and Hell. Only, on Earth bad things will still happen to good people, especially the best people.

There are legalities and eventualities. This is the truth sin corrupts and destroys. The law made it a legality but the fact remains that sin corrupts. We only exist by the grace of God we do not exist seperate from him we perish. A quick look around you in this sinful world reveals this truth all things that you see are corruptiing and perishing.

God is perfect and holy.
God hates sin.
According to the Bible, sin is what causes death in the world, whether it be of humans or animals or any part of Creation. The Bible says the earth groans under the weight of humanity's sin.
Sin brings spiritual death, God will not tolerate sin in his presence. We must be perfect to be in his presence, and we do become that through Jesus.
