The definition of Life from Birth to Death follows a natural process which we as humans are, through application of the Noble eightfold Path able to circumvent thus ending the cycle.

Its process is a process of dependencies which are in order:

The 1st two dependency processes relate to the past
1.Dependency on Ignorance results in Activities (moral &
immoral)
2.Dependency on Activities determines Consciousness (Rebirth
Consciousness)

The middle 7 relate to the present
3.Dependent on Conciousness arises Mind & Matter
4.Dependent on mind & Matter arises the 6 Spheres of Sense
5.Dependent on the 6 Speres of Sense arisesContact
6.Dependent on Contact arises Feeling
7.Dependent on Feeling arises Craving
8.Dependent on Craving arises Grasping or Clinging
9.Dependent on Grasping arises Actions (Karma)

The last two dependencies relate to the future
10,Dependent on Actions arises Rebirth
11.Dependendent on Rebirth arises Decay, Death, Sorrrow, Lamentation, Pain, Grief, Despair

Thus does the entire cycle of suffering arise.

The complete cessation of Ignorance leads to the cessation of Activities leads ultimately to the cessation of Rebirth and the cessation of suffering.

This then is the definition of Life. Through the purpose of ceasing suffering of all beings can we achieve a Noble purpose in Life.

From birth, life has very little to say or do for itself, for it depends on the caregivers around it. But, as the years go by, life is what the individual THINKS it and MAKES it to be. You are...literally...what you think you are. This emplies to every life form, animals are just more instinctive, than 'thoughtful'.

to be on this earth and worship the mother of earth, and worship also the God and Goddess of life.and learn the witches ways of the old.learn from it and abide by it.abide by the wiccan rede.let no harm come into my thoughts.do unto others as i would want them to do unto me.live happily free in this world and celebrate the eight sabbats of the wheel of the year.and when it is time for this soul of Hecate's,than i will live in Summerland with the rest of my brothers and sisters of the witches way.death is just the begining though.we have lots to learn.from there the ruler of death will teach us if we ask and listen.

Life is a game. If you play it wrong you lose and you are miserable. If you win you live a good life. You have the things you need. Just make sure you are careful about your decisions in life.

It's the opportunity given us to learn everything we can about being "mortal". I try to learn something new each day. Life without learning is death.
