Eating just one meal a day is bad for you.... Especially just what you have listed. To lose weight you need to have a healthy "BALANCED' diet. For one, what you have listed will not supply all the needed vitamins and minerals... For two, your body will go in to starve mode. That's were it starts storing away fat etc to cover your lack of regular meals. You will end up losing muscle tissue also and a few other bad things will happen as well.
To top it off you will feel hungry and then maybe binge eat bad foods high in fat.
Then you might even feel guilty and start doing other things like throwing it up etc...

My advice... If you wish to lose weight is.... Eat healthy food in small regular meals.(3 - 4 a day) This with exercise (A brisk walk 30 minutes a day) - Don't over do the exercise. Don't starve yourself.
If you do this (healthy eating regular small meals and 30 mins of exercise) you should easily lose weight.

Another comment. Rapid weight loss can be very unhealthy. I don't know how much you weigh but don't expect to lose 10 pounds a day. If your like 250 pounds I would aim for say 2 - 3 pounds a week. That way you lose it easily and in a healthy way and keep it off..

See a doctor or nutrition dude if you need help making a healthy safe diet.

That is not enough food to nourish you for a full day. In order to lose weight AND keep it off successfully you must eat 3 meals a day. If you really want to lose weight, I suggest cutting back on junk food, fast food, and any other fatty bad foods. Yes, it does take a while to lose weight this way, but if you only eat breakfast then a consequence is that when you begin eating other food you'll start gaining weight again because your body won't be used to all the extra food.

Remember, you didn't put the weight on overnight, so it's going to take time to take it off. Keep in mind that excercise should be included because it will help you lose weight and also stay fit and feel healthy. If you only eat rbeakfast everyday, not only are you on your way to a eating disorder, but you also will start to feel sluggish and fatigued from the lack of nutrients in your body. You will not be able to get through the day okay and will probably become very grumpy and irritable with people around you, which they will not appreciate.

Lastly, by just cutting out 500 calories per day you will lose a pound a week. It might not sound like much but think after only 2 and a half months you would have lost 10 pounds. 500 calories for most people is equivalent to cutting out one snack per day, or like cutting your portion sizes in half for dinner.

Which leads me to the next thing. Portion sizes do make a difference. By only eating the suggested amount you will see that it is a good size amount still, but that it is quite a bit different from what your thought of what should be a portion size is. By cutting back on portion sizes, eliminating junk food, fast food, and other unhealthy items, then you will most definitely start seeing differences in a short amount of time. But, it's also okay at the same time to "treat" yourself. For every milestone you hit, indulge yourself in low fat ice cream or some other treat you like. Just eat it in moderation. If you cut all things you like out 100 percent, it will be a very difficult diet to stay on. Also, don't forget to excercise, even if that is just power walking a few miles per day or lifting weights. Good luck!

Those are high calorie food choices. You could eat 3 meals of lower calorie items that would total the same and feel more satisfying.

But to answer your question, it depends on how much you weigh now and how much a "bit" and "handful" are.

You may not lose anything. Your calories could equal what you already weigh. Walnuts & peanuts are very high calorie.

Sounds like a dangerous diet, friend. You are under 700 calories, and you don't have enough of a food variety. Where is your fiber?

But, theoretically, let's say you did do this diet. If you burn in a normal day 2300 calories, and consume 700. That means you burn 1600 calories a day, and since there are roughly around 3000 calories to be burned in a pound of fat, you will be burning a pound every 2 days.

However, when your body goes into "starvation mode" during a drastic calorie reduction, you will burn less calories per day, slowing weight loss. To keep your metabolism up, you must exercise.
