Hi to answer your question yes you can get your face waxed, but I highly recommend that you go to a spa and have it done by a professional. You dont want to try it at home because you may burn yourself and leave a scar or disfigurement.
However, I dont really believe in waxing your face or upper lip at all. Except for eyebrows because you may want to change the shape of them.
Honestly with all the money you would be paying to have the hairs waxed which would grow back shortly anyway, I STRONGLY recommend going for laser hair removal. You sound like you are the perfect candidate for it as well. You mentioned that you have fair skin and dark hairs. Laser hair removal works best for that skin and hair type because the laser is attracted to the strongest melonin which would be the dark hairs.
Do a search in your area for an American Laser Center. They will give you a free consultation and they will tell you how many treatments you will need. They are not badly priced either and the hair will be gone forever. They guarentee it or you can keep coming back if the hair ever grows back which is extremlely rare. I had my upper lip, underarms, legs, and bikini done with laser hair removal and my skin is baby soft. And I'm 100% Italian!
Just please please don't wax your face you'll regret it and the hair wills grow back even more in places you dont want. I hope this info helps you.

Yes, make sure you use a wax that is designated for the face, it doesn't have the harsh ingredients that are found in the others used for the body. It hurts the first few times, You can buy a numbing cream to use as the first step.

AVON has a hair removal cream that would eliminate that pain.

yes, at the salon i work at we wax just about any area of the face that needs it, cheeks and etc. i would get it done at a salon or day spa at least the first time. depending on the amount of hair etc. you may be able to go 1-3 months before waxing again. if you have more of a problem, i would also suguest along with waxing to see about Vaniqa, a prescription cream that many of our clients use to inhibt the growth of excess facial hair.

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.
Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.

Yes, but if you are not familiar with waxing it would be best to have it done at a salon. Also if you have very sensitive skin you may bleed or have redness that last for several days.

It's certainly OK, but I find it painful. I use tweezers myself, which is also slightly painful, and time consuming, but tweezing inhibits the regrowth. The more I tweeze, the less I have to, and eventually I won't have to at all. Problem solved.
