I am a minister and I would absolutly say 4. Execpt that having been in the military I know that the guy in 4 often drops in food to the needy only to have the needy then turn around and use that strength to rape and kill the weaker people around him. Thoes who truly serve God do not do so because of a fear of hell or a desire for reward, it is because we have found something real and true and we want to share it for your sake. Many Christians believe that salvation has nothing to do with how you live after your saved, I disagree, but it makes them in your class 4 and gives them guidence so they don't blow it.

I am going outside the box to say all of them skipping the part of getting satisfaction from others and that self concept idea.

I would go with 3, because 4 is very uncommon, for selfish people like me.
So, for me, 3 makes more sense and 4 is talking out of my limits.

1,2 and 3- Doing something or living, in a way that is beneficial to you. 4- Just doing something.
I would say that 3 and 4 are really close, but, to be right, we would truely have to give without expecting a return, work without calling attention to what we do, love and forgive unconditionally.

Obviously it's number 4 because he creates the least negative karma by not clinging to any misguided doctrines or religious beliefs. Number 1 creates negative karma in spite of his good deeds by clinging to theological dogma.
