I know that's the devils name but I want to name her Lucifer because I think it's a pretty name. It's like a cross between Lucy and Jennifer.

Well, you can, if you want your daughter to regret you for doing so for the rest of your life.

I don't think that naming your daughter Lucifer is a smart thing. It is like naming her Santa or Lesbia.

Think what you are doing to your daughter. A name is an important thing for a child. People will call her that name for the rest of her life and will be remembered for this name after she dies. So, make up your mind and look for some other pretty names.

Jenny is a pretty name.

Merry Christmas!!

I would not call my child Lucifer for many reasons. However, I think that the names Lucy or Jennifer are nice. Please see my question "Do you think the birth of the Red Heifers born in the 1990's is proof that the Messiah is coming soon?" Please read the comments. There is an important message for everyone.

Yes you can. It's your child and you can choose whatever name you want to name YOUR child. But, you might want to think about it though. Think about what that child might go through in life with a name that everyone associates with evil. I get what you're saying about the cross between the names and all, but really, do you think that kids will understand that when their parents tell them not to talk to your child in school? All I'm saying think long and hard about this? Oh, what does the mother think?

You can but I can't imagine why you would want to.

Your child would be picked at poked at and more from his peergroup and others. Some people would image their is more to the name then just a name and you child could be the victim of spiritual abuse through misunderstanding.

You could change YOUR name to LUCIFER and try it out and they your child could be Lucifer the 2nd.

Best Wishes,

Check out this passage and maybe that will help you decide. If you are religious, it may be considered a serious sin against God. But if you can live with the knowledge that your child will have to endure ridicule for life, go for it.

"How art thou fallen from heaven
O day-star, son of the morning! (Helel ben Shahar)
How art thou cast down to the ground,
That didst cast lots over the nations!
And thou saidst in thy heart:
'I will ascend into heaven,
Above the stars of God (El)
Will I exalt my throne;
And I will sit upon the mount of meeting,
In the uttermost parts of the north;
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds;
I will be like the Most High (Elyon).'
Yet thou shalt be brought dow to the nether-world,
To the uttermost parts of the pit."
- Isaiah 14:12-15

lucifer is the name given by the catholic church to the devil, because of the illuminati.
it IS a cool name, but it has a bad association.

Don't be so damn stupid. How could you. Your old enough to have a child then your old enough to know what that "name" conjures-up in an "adults" mind let alone a child's mind. To burden your child with such a name is Ludicrous! Just remember, that the name you give your child, is destined to "create the path" of her/his life. Be careful what you ask for - you just might get it.
