Well my wife needs a lot of things. Get her a 16 gage fully automatic shotgun. A bass boat, and all of the works. Stop off at the Toyota place and see about a full size pickup with navigation, satellite finder and Sirius music.
We have a lot of work around the house . would be nice if you could just come over after sending the bass boat and shotgun, and pickup.
It's best to not fool around with a married woman in the cheap stores like walmarts. Show your respect the right way. Go for the nice stuff.

If you are buying a gift for others in the office, spend a similar amount on each. If this is the only person you're inclined to give a gift to, don't. Red light!

Get her a $10 gift card to Starbucks or something. My mom's boss is not married and gets her like $50 gifts at Christmas and it's really weird.

Just jump right in???? NO. Spend nothing on her. Have some pity for yourself. And, are you thinking to break them up? What do you think she will think? And what about her husband...what will he think?
Get yourself someone who is not married or involved with someone else... that is the safest thing to do ...

don't give personal items , her husband might get jealous. The best gift is something she and her husband can use, not solely for her alone.

a perfume or a gold jewellery will be fine. even if she is married, who knows she is not happily married? just keep on slowly but surely expressing your love and liking to her without demanding or being aggressive about anything no matter how much your heart asks you. this patience will win her attention to you and you will find what your are looking for!!! congrats on this gift of "liking" someone, very rarely we find people we can "like" !!! don't miss the opportunity :-)

You spend whatever you can afford and think is appropriate.
A person just starting out will not be able to afford what someone who's a CEO can afford......so it's relative.
