This is a time of sharing and caring, what better way to share and to care than to respect everyone and to exemplify the virtues of love, nurture, compassion and peace?

It is the right thing to do all year round. Why should I do it now only?

I will honour other people's believes when they honour mine. Right now Crapsmas and Christmercialism are making this the most environmentmally destructive day of the year. When people learn to repsect the environment maybe I will respect your holiday but not likely. I have a hard time respecting a holiday based on greed, cutting down trees, killing animals, commercialism and misrepresentation. Christmas isn't Jesus' birthday--Jesus was a Pisces. Its a celebration of greed and destruction...no love, nurture, compassion or peace on Christmas...just ego....

Guess what! You can respect someone and love, nuture, and show compassion and peace towards them without honoring their beliefs. You believe what you believe because it's the truth...right? Then why would you honor false beliefs?

And what's this 'time of the year' nonsense? You're supposed to respect and love people ALL year.

Sure, I wich every one a Happy Hanukka, A Merry Christmas, a Happy Kwanza, a Very Happy Holiday, A Blessed Solsitce, or just a very wonderful no special day at all.

I'm sorry but you are asking people to be hypocrites. Not all beliefs and traditions are worthy of respect regardless of what you think. My intolerance will never go past speaking out against it, but I will not pretend that some things are ok. There is right and wrong. If I didn't love, I would then keep silent and let them continue on the wrong path.

God Bless you and Merry Christmas.

Ok, Honor this:

God is a loving scientist from an advanced planet formed shortly after the Universe was formed; his planet is advanced scientifically, technologically, and evolutionarily.

God communicates with us by mental telepathy.
God heals us by using telekinesis,
God has everlasting life because:

When his planet was 7 billion years old it reached ultimate evolution.

"evolution, if given enough time, leads to eternal life."

PS: Nothing in the Bible contradicts the above.

"God has always existed?" -- To your dog, you have always existed. You were there before it became a member of your family.

To your dog, you are God, and you are all powerful.

Proof: You can open the door, your dog cannot.
You can open a can of dog food, your dog Cannot.

I don't "set aside" my beliefs as they make us who we are. However I always wish others well when it comes to their traditions and beliefs. As long as I am not harmed or being done injustice, I have no problems with it!

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukka (I always misspell that), Happy Kwanza, Happy Eid, Merry Festivus, and Happy anything else I left out! :-D

we should not only honour other's traditions now, but during the rest of the year as well. Man has destroyed the concept of god and god's love by turning it into rituals, exclusionary constraints, and theological mish mash. Why in the name of a loving god would people commit genocide, fly airplanes into buildings or kill others in the name of religion?

What a classic false dilemma.
No one needs to set aside their beliefs in order to "honor others' traditions and beliefs."

I will not set aside my beliefs, but will gladly allow others to have their own. Peace , compassion and love are not exclusive to any religion.

I honor and respect others' traditions and beliefs with my Catholic Faith in Jesus Christ affirmed, shows more honesty of belief.

An honest person does not have to set aside a major part of themselves to honor respect and share others' beliefs.

Noel. Merry Christmas.
