I just got an orange and white kitten for my 3 year old and named her "Minnie" because she likes Minnie Mouse and the cat is little so it can also stand for "mini".
Other suggestions would be "Nala", like the girl lion from The Lion King or "Garfield", but I think that one is a little common for an orange cat.

I had a very intelligent orange tabby that i named orange
Here are the reasons
* nothing rhymes with orange
* it mocks people with black cats and white cats that name them midnight or snowflake
*ther is a huge list of nick names o.j., super agent orange, the juice monsouir l'orange etc etc
this name gives the cat character
