A few weeks ago, I went on a couple of dates with a guy I've known for a few months. I really liked him but wanted to take things slowly and it seemed to me that he was looking for something very quickly. So, he stopped calling me, I was hurt but
went my own way trying to forget him. We'e in the same club and so I ran into him again two wks ago and he criticised my dancing style. I'm v sensitive and was hurt at this remark. I could only think it was a sort of vengeance for not progressing the relationship at a faster rate but I wasn´t sure. Then, out of the blue, I got a message from him on Saturday night..again a criticism about my dancing. I didn't reply and he resent the msg on Sunday evening..I didn't reply and he texted me asking why I don't reply. He said, look, I'm only joking you, please don't be annoyed! I don't understand this behaviour. He's a nice guy & doesn't have a girlfriend so I called him & said let's meet for a chat. Any ideas on this guy's behaviour?

he sounds really immature. he thinks that he's flirting with you by insulting you. if he's this childish, you may want to take this into consideration before you start up anything with someone who isn't fully grown yet.

Whatever it is, somethings not right, clear all doubts when u guys meet next time, he could be just playig,so have face-off talks also if required to clear any doubts in ur mind, U should end up deciding in ur next meet if u wanna carry on or forget bout him, also do ask him about his behaviour, probably u should have replied anything on his text msg.now he can say that u called him n not he caled u.

It kind of almost sounds like he's trying to keep in contact with you, but is kind of stuttering on his words and just blurting out something he thinks is "funny" instead. I hang out with a lot of guys and see this. Even the most mature, older man can let the child come out in him when it comes to a woman.
I think it'll be interesting for you to see where this goes but I'd stop taking his actions to heart if he keeps up with the attitude.

He likes you, and doing elementary school ways of going about telling you. Remember, in school when a boy pulled your hair, he really liked you? Well he is an adult talking about you. He likes you.

Maybe you should chat with him and just lay it all on the line. Tell him how you feel about the entire situation and tell him how his words upset you. You have nothing to lose. Dont ever lose yourself to pacify someone else.

He is a control freak, stay away from him, ignore him because he is only going to cause you a lot of pain. He is a jerk right from the start (His ways are more than a red flags).

Maybe he is trying to flirt but he never outgrew the "pulling her pigtails because he likes her" phase of showing affection.
