I agree with the first answerer. There has to be saliva exchange for you to be contaminated with the herpes simplex 1 virus.
If the pimple starts to feel like it is burning and itchy at the same time then you might want to think about getting some cold sore creams. I know mine can be real sore sometimes. It feels like I put a cigarette out on my lip. A pimple on the lip is sore too because of the nerves there. You'll know it's a pimple by the white head. So don't worry =)

Cold sores come from the same Herpes Simplex Virus, but they are different. Frequently the same medications can be used. There are many ways to get cold sores; many have nothing to do with kissing or other.
The best over the counter cream is Abreva (small tube and may seem expensive, but it's worth it...) Also, Keep Herpecin-L (another over the counter... looks like a chapstick...) with you even after you are healed. At the first sign of a tingle on your lip, use it to prevent or reduce the severity of a reoccurrance.
DON'T kiss anybody while you have the cold sore... They are highly contagious.
Good luck!

No chance
don't worry
How could a pimple on lips after a kiss on neck could mean Herpes Simplex 1
Are there painful small pimples on other parts of your body? And do you have body pain? If so condact a doctor
If you have just only a pimple on lips, cheer up and don't worry
Its christmas time...
Wish you a merry christmas* and a wonderful newyear...

Different strokes for different folks. There is no hard and fast answer to this, it's like riding a horse: you have to feel it and know where is the best place to land a kiss. One moment it could be the neck and an hour later or the next day could be the lips. Some women prefer the vagina lips . .timing has to be right for that one, then it is like riding a horse (rodeo), see if you can hang on for 8 seconds when those kisses shoot her to the moon.

I got diagnosed with herpes (type 2) about three years ago, when I was still attending college and had a stupid one-night stand. I know lots of people say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a mistake that one time and suddenly I felt like I was going to have to live with the consequences for my entire life. The worst part was feeling I could never date men again. After all, who wants to go out with someone who has sores round her "you know what" area? But since a friend shared this movie https://tr.im/I946W everything improved.
Not only was I able to clear away all remnants of the hsv from my system in less than three weeks, but I was also able to begin dating again. I even met the man of my dreams and I'm so fortunate to write that just a week ago, in front of everyone in a busy restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!! This system gave me back the opportunity to be happy and experience true love again. Now I hope that I can help others by sharing this story.

No i doubt it came from just a kiss on the neck..however, it is great that you are concerned. Read up on Herpes and get the facts. A blister on the lips might just be from the cold or something you might have eaten that affected you. But you are wise to question. Be safe.

Herpes simplex is transmitted by sexual contact, kissing, or other close contact. Family members should not share towels or linen with someone who has an outbreak of herpes on the genitalia or cold sores. Herpes can spread from person to person even when an infected individual has no outbreak or symptoms.
It's impossible you have Herpes if you don't kissed him/her in mouth.

Maybe you should have waited to kiss after you learned a few more things to be safe.

herpes simplex type 1 is from saliva exchange, not just kissing skin.
