Afraid of what my partner's reaction is going to be....don't want to be judged negatively because of a decision I made to remain a virgin.

I don't think that's anything to be ashamed of, so why are you? Just because so many people out there have no morals and jump in the sack with anyone that looks their way, does not mean you...or I...have to follow suit. Not to mention, if you are thinking about this, you must be considering giving it up for this person. In which case, I would think he/she would find it all the more special, since you waited 28 years for the right person, and he/she is the one you chose. Not a turn off, but a major TURN ON!! Good luck!!

I would be honoured to date someone who didn't think that they had to have sexual experience at that age. Too many young females give away their virginity to young males that they think they are going to be with forever (aged 12 - to whatever). Then they just become active with everyone as they think that will help them to keep their man etc. Some young and old females believe that they are acting maturely by being active, but someone who has saved herself shows that she has ethics, norms and morals and isn't a part of following the crowd. Be proud of who and what you are and trust me any man would be very proud to date a young woman like you. Any man with respect for females anyways.

Why would you be turned off? You evidently like the person or you wouldn't be dating them. When I walkied down the asle with my wife, I'd like to know every guy in attendance hasn't been in bed with her. A girl like that is hard to find today. Consider yourself lucky. Same thing if the person you're talking about is a man.

Why should that be a turn off? Are you the judge of others? Someone keeping themselves for marriage is a beautiful thing.

It's kind of a red flag to be that old and still be a virgin. That person may have some issues.

I'm not sure "...turn off" is the correct phrase. But I would certainly be curious and somewhat concerned.

NO! I would think it was great, I would be first and she would have no one to compare me with.
