Kind of ironic don't you think?

That is my point exactly, it is contradictory, if you have no belief in God then why ask -why He causes pain, suffering, etc....Cast the blame on man.

Amen!! I could not have said it better. God cannot be blamed for anything if you don't believe in Him. Thought this was an interesting statement that I heard on a talk show once- An atheist said during a discussion on thanksgiving- "I wish I did believe in God, so I would have someone to thank". Interesting!!!

Human nature makes people blame others. Personally, I have never blamed God for anything. Of course, I believe in "God", I just believe a different way than Christians.

Not really. People who don't believe in God don't believe he causes those things. People who hate God do.

One of the arguments against God does say something like this:

If God is all powerful, all good, and all knowing as believers say; he would not let bad things happen. it is illogical.

If he loves everyone, knows everything, and can do anything; he wouldn't let babies die, or murderers rape and kill children and natural disasters destroy the homes of innocent people.

He can't let these things happen and still be all good, all knowing, and all powerful. One would have to be incorrect.

So they come to the conclusion that this idea of God is illogical. Not that "God does bad things."

The all powerful God could not stop the "origin of sin" or was it a deliberate trick ?. In either case his goodness or power is not proved.
An Atheist will never consider god in anything that happens on this earth - good or bad, if he does it is to mock at the belief in God.

I don't believe in god, and I don't blame a non-existent god for sickness death and violence. Nor does any other non-believer.

You are making this up, isn't that ironic?

Atheists sometimes point out the contradiction that believers give god credit for anything good...but don't blame him for everything bad, perhaps that is where you are confused?

Do people really know God???? God made heaven and earth and all that is there in. God made a utopia for the First man Adam and Eve. Because of sin that utopia has been marred. His creation is wonderful and awsome to behold but to blame Him for the suffering is selfish. we make the world what it is... because of man's sin suffering exists. Heaven is our utopia !!!! People who blame God don't reeally know God. For God is love and God allows us to choose our path. God bless

Kind of ironic that you'd think that people who don't believe in God blame God for bad things? Yup, it is. You're confused.

Whenever anything bad happens, I sure don't blame God for it. To be real truthful, I have never heard any non-believer blame God for anything.
Isn't it kind of stupid to blame something that you don't believe exists ?
You're using your imagination too much. Non-believers are not that bad, or stupid.

People don't. They just point out the consequence of giving God credit for the good things: if one posits this God as being the cause of good things, then it must be true that he's the cause of the bad things. It's not saying he exists; it's an attempt to consider the premises of the believers' argument and take it to its logical conclusion.

I may not believe in the God you believe in, I have no blame for sickness and some death, and I blame religious fanatics for violence, and most death.
