Depends heavily on their body weight. An average man, for example is legally drunk in about 2 drinks in an hour. Of course everyone has differnt tolerances, but that makes no difference at a sobriety checkpoint! Be careful.

It depends on the person, the weight, the tolerance of the person and how quick the person drinks. For example, I'm 5'5", about 115lbs, and I have a descent tolerance. It takes me 4 beers to be drunk. I don't drink beer very often. It takes me more than 2 big bottles of wine to get drunk because I drink wine more.

Are you talking legally drunk? I'm not your average person. I'm 6 foot tall and weigh about 265 lbs and I'm Irish. I can drink a 12 pack and not even feel buzzed. But if I were to blow into a breathalyzer it would definitely register me as being drunk.

A lot of factors makes this vary, such as body type, tolerance etc.. I'm gonna say a six-pack of beer, or a bottle of wine..
