Ok here it goes. For the past 4 days (I think) I've been having an odd headache on just the left side of my head right just above my temple. I've recently taken midterm exams so this could be from stress. But I'm on Christmas break right now so I'm not stressed. Anyway the headache is pretty bad, but it feels like pressure there, like a sinus problem. My tongue sorta has this dry feeling like a sinus thing but my nose isn't that clogged up. The headache worsens when I bend over (this has happened before tho when I had a sinus infection). But then why is it only on one side of my head? I'm scared.

What does your doctor say about this one? Or have you not bothered to see a doctor.

If it's a sinus infection (which is probable, they're not always bilateral), you will need antibiotics, and that means a doctor.

If it's a tumor, you still need a doctor.

And a one-sided headache could be a migraine, but again, SEE A DOCTOR.

Here's how you check if it's a sinus condition.

Put pressure on your cheek bones all around under your eyes. If you feel tenderness or pain, you have a sinus infection or another condition with the sinuses. Check above the eyebrows as well.

Take some pain relievers like Advil and go relax. If the headache continues for more than two or so days, talk to your doctor. You may have a problem with localized migraines or something of the sort.

Don't jump right to Brain Tumor. That will make you more stressed and, if it is just a stress headache, you won't be helping it go away any quicker.

I had this same problem and was diagnosed with chronic sinusitus (which simply put means on going sinus infections). I had a cat scan done (or it could have been an mri, i always get the two confused) and it showed that I had what was thought to be a large tumor on the right side of my nose. I had surgery and when the doctor got in to remove the tumor, he discovered it wasn't a tumor at all, but rather a serious sinus infection. He drained the cavity, prescribed an antibiotic, and the symptoms disappeared. So, call the doctor.

Can it be that you are worried about your health a lot? My brother was diagnosed and operated with a brain tumor four years ago and what you describe sounds not at all like it. It sounds like a sinus problem or the common cold. It is very typical for a sinus problem to worsen when you bend over. In my opinion you are overly afraid and probably thinking about your health too much - but if you really feel you have such a serious disease you should see a neurologist for an MRI.

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck. Headaches can be
caused by minor problems like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more
serious reasons like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can have harmful side
effects, so it is better to modify your lifestyle. More information

There's no sinus over there, but chances are it isn't serious. If you're frightened, though, best get it checked out just for your peace of mind if for no other reason.
