Its just a STORY> Thats all it is, a story. Stop taking it literally. In the vision, John sees creatures in heaven which worship God day and night. Day and night? So, theres night in Heaven? hmmmmm.

Its NOT literal, people. Obviously the writter himself did not mean for it to be ttaken literally. Day and night in Heaven? It was just a story to help people keep up the faith. Just a story.

All of the books in the bible should have came with forwards and introductions from their writer on how this work should be taken. Of course God hadn't invented that yet so they didn't do it so now everybody has no idea how to take anything.

i'm no longer likely specific what's the e book of revelations yet i think of that any e book could be taken to somewhat (greater if is religious and from yet all over lower back), as an occasion look on the bible, it somewhat isn't any longer precise in some data. Ex. it reported interior the bible that moses traveled interior the desolate tract for 40 12 months, however that's popular that the Israelites wandered interior the desolate tract for style of four hundred 12 months. What im am saying is the previous religious books have a lot of metaphorical fraces so as that they should not be taken to somewhat. that's in basic terms between the justifications the different one is that previous books had to many translations and lots it replaced or lost in time. Ex. the bible has been translated in greater han 3000 languages or dialects. Sorry for the misspelled words , i'm LATINO. (i used the verify spelling botton) Greetings from Uruguay.

Well John had to write that in His own words to the best of His ability, thus the day and night was something He could understand.Go back and read Ezekiel these are the same "creatures" John speaks of.I believe because the Bible
has proved true as a book of future prophesy.I know for a fact Satan is real, and so is Jesus. So a battle to stop Evil seems more than appropriate.

The Revelation book has literal interpretations, as well as symbolical meanings.

If you refer to Revelation 7:15 where it says: "That is why they are before the throne of God; and they are rendering him sacred service day and night in his temple..."

Those referred to in this verse were not in heaven. They are actually people on earth, as you will read in verse 9:

....After these things I saw, and, look! a great crowd, which no man was able to number, out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues....

this refers to those who worship God from all around the earth, why day and night? Because when it is day on the east, its night on the west and vice versa...both time they worship the same God, only one part happens to be day, the other night.

If you say it was just a story, that means the whole bible is a story. Bible = bedtime story? i don't think so.. It looks like revelation have a touch of art, abstract art specifically. It was something that was there and we try to find the meaning of it. Each painting have a meaning. And when we try to find the meaning we use literal, though there are many other ways. And you know how society effects each other, one people use literal they all use literal. Soooo i think literal is a WAY to figure out the meaning of the "story".

Religious folk take the entire bible literally otherwise they could not indentify with the dogma and traditions of their religion. On the other hand, spiritual folk understand that the language of spirit can never be put into mere words, therefore the only way to convey spiritual understanding is through the use of symbolism and metaphore. Truth is the experience that exists beyond the symbol. Religious folk worship the symbols, not the truth that the symbols point toward.

Your right. I think we should not believe everything that has been written in our Bibles. Some things may have been changed to benefit the devil. However, I do believe that some things are the truth. Please see my question "Do you think the birth of the Red Heifers born in the 1990's is proof that the Messiah is coming soon?" Please read the comments. There is an important message for everyone.

To you it is a story, but to The BRIDE OF CHRIST it is a love letter to his Bride, & it is very easliy understood by his Bride. You sound just like satan did when he tempted Jesus. And by the way, why are you now so concerned about Revelation, I am been studying Prophecies for over 36 yrs. And guess what, No one forced it on me.

God gave us a choice. Apparently, your choice is to believe itis simply a story. (That also reminds me of Christ talking in parables). Anyway, I currently do not convert(know) all symbols in Revelation; but gather the beast in Rev. 17 is the USA.

Revelations is full of symbolism. If we know what some of those symbols mean, we can reasonably take that meaning literally, but not the symbols themselves.
