LCD is best... they don't make them any bigger than 46" though
the people below me who say they make LCD 60" and 72" are idiots, and the link the guy gave is to a rear projection LCD...which is what DLP is! digital light projection, which was one of the 3 listed in the question! DLP is not near as good a picture as regular LCD! you have to look at it from dead straight on, you can't look down or up or sideways at it or the picture is faded. Look at the category the TV in the link below is in.... DLP / rear projection.... ahahahahhahahah... you want to be looking the LCD section son
ok I guess they have just recently came out with an LCD bigger than 46", this is the first one I've seen http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11188560&whse=BC&Ne=5000002+4000000&N=4001382%204294966780&Mo=4&No=0&Nr=P_CatalogName:BC&Ns=P_Price|1||P_SignDesc1&Sp=C&hierPath=79*2341*4848*&topnav= it's 52", but it's nearly twice the price of a 46" and I've never seen any other LCD's this size before, kinda cool... but whatever you do, do not get a rear projection LCD like the others have mentioned

They are all good tv's, it's your own personal usage that will dictate what's better. Go to a retail store and demo the product and spend at less 15 minutes each on each one and write the pro's and con's. Here's a few facts, Pioneer Elite plasma is the best TV in the market, but the price for a 50" is in the $5,000 range. LCD and LED suffers from motion blurnes on fast action sports, 120 HZ and 240 HZ does minimize the problem but also comes at a higher price. LED price is higher than the LCD. LCD and LED does consume less energy but not noticeable if you don't watch tv more than 5 hours a day. TV's displayed at retail store are adjusted to the max for better picture due to the amount of light in the store. Go online to Home Theater Magazine and read reviews on Plasma, LCD and soon LED. I personnal have 2 Plasma TV's in my home and no complain at all. High definition or full high def. 720P or 1080P, you won't be able to tell the difference on tv screen small than 46" and the 1080P is at extra cost. Blue Ray disc movies are the only source of 1080P in the market now. If you watch alot of movies (dvd or Blue ray) and watch sports the Plasma tv is better, LCD is better if you use it to play games from your computer or games console. Your own eyes are the best judge.

plasmas have the best color reproduction closest no natural color. and they do last very long up to 65000 light hours.despite years old myths. they have worked out many buggs. lcd flat panel would be next. there is no chance of burn in, but the color reproduction is not as good. stay away from lcd projection and dlp( which is also a projection), they ARE different. the picture will be good but the viewing angle is not very big. and the there are projection bulbs that blow every 3000 to 5000 hours , and have to be replaced.

Dude, I don't know which ones the best.........but I just got a 56" Samsung DLP and the picture is unbelievable.........
Also, with DLP you can replace the bulb if it burns out, when Plasma and LCD burn, you have to buy a new one!

plasma has the best contrast ratio. Up to 10000 to 1. That's what gives the greatest lifelike quality.
