30 min..If you can't run for that long, run and walk fast, gradually increasing the time you run and decreasing the time you walk.

Running and jogging is great exercise for overall fitness. However, you seems to want to concentreate on your stomach. Sit up or crunches will help flatten your stomach.
Also, if you want to start running, look at your age. (not going to ask) sometimes when you are over 30 or 35, you will want to start out slow to prevent knee injuries. Yup, knees. consider the bones in the knee everytime your foot hits the ground when you are running. If you aren't conditioned, start with a mile or less every other day. You can always build up to a 5 or 10 mile run, but don't start with that. If you are older, check with your doctor.

just go jogging around your neighborhood. If you can go with a friend, how long, and how fast is up to you.
remember run through the pain. It'll get better.
