I wouldn't perm it if I were you, they damage hair and what if you hate it? If you decide to get one then it will probably be around $100, and it will last until it starts to grow out, then your roots will be straight and the rest of your hair will turn wavy as the perm continues to relax. And some people have hair that won't take to perms, I had a friend go get one only to have straight hair by that evening, and it wasn't a bad perm, it was just her hair type wouldn't hold the curl.

It depends on whether you have a good hair stylist. Some people can braid your hair while it is straight. All they need to do is put rubberbands on your hair and you need to have your hair clean of all products too.

Don't perm it, your natural sounds so beautiful.
