The answer applies to all TVs.
The proper setting depends on your source (set-top box, DVD player, etc.)
Many DVDs include for free the THX Optimizer (for example, "Finding Nemo" the 2-disc edition). The THX Optimizer guides you to set the proper brightness, contrast, and other picture settings.

i say set the picture for vivid..and set your box at 720p
