why does the aircraft not turn upside down?

You DO go upside down. You don't realize it because the farther south you go below the equator the more it sucks, so it's SUCTION that keeps you on the ground, not gravity.

Perhaps you are going right side up. You've been living upside down in the UK, it's time to right things and move to Australia. j/k :)

Yes you do ,and if you are taking a leak at the time you go upside down you will pee on the ceiling
