I just got a pair of peach-faced lovebirds, and I was hoping for some insight into what their chirps and such mean. Like the longish call that gets higher as it goes and the short chirps. I was also wondering how to tell which songs they like. They seem to either love or hate Dir en Grey. They start moving around a lot and chirping when I play it..

From what I noticed with mine, the fast loud quick sharp chirps were usually an agression thing, since mine hated eachother and were caged seperately, they would yell at eachother from across the room! I noticed that when mine were content they would do soft slow chirps, this was usually in the evening before bed! Hope this is helpful!

ok I particularly have below no circumstances saved lovebirds. yet i visit respond on your question as nicely. Lovebirds have a intense-pitched squeek. helpful, they fowl communicate. they do no longer look particularly into mimicry. they are social birds and that they make noise. they do now no longer "get alongside" with diverse animals o.ok.. I particularly have standard diverse human beings, who've come abode, to a ineffective lovebird, killed through way of the mate. verify that in case you place the birds mutually, that they get alongside. you as nicely to ought to won't have the skill to cage them with diverse fowl species, so a stable distance as i understand. i ought to nicely be very careful with mixing canines and birds. even even regardless of the indisputable fact that canines human beings get offended at me, in actuality, your canines is a canines. no count if he's the main gentle canines indoors the international, he even regardless of the indisputable fact that would have a confusing time distinguishing the lovebird from a protein shelter, or a squeeze toy. So do now no longer assume them to have human minds, and grow to be pals. Your fowl is in all risk to verify his eyes and his physique language and photograph "predator" and which will scare the bejesus out of it. Mess on the same time as whilst in comparison with budgies? comparable.
