in my personal opinion its a toss up between BIG DADDY DONGARLITS and john force... john force has won alot of races and big daddy won alot of races and changed the sport to what it is now by being the first person to put the motor in the back of a top fuel car cause the "sling shot" dragsters were so dangerous..

If we consider all classes it is way to hard to nail down an all time greatest. But I'll give you my thoughts on the best: Big Daddy Don Garlits....he set the standard a long time ago and made drag racing what it is today.
Other greats I personally have enjoyed:
John Force
Warren Johnson
Kenny Bernstien
Terry Vance

and a few others that were very good, plus some of the "new breed"

The NHRA did a survey of the top 50 Drivers. Don Garlit was the #1 Driver of all times and John Force was #2. You can go to NHRA.com and get the complete list.

It's really tough to consider one greatest "pilot" of all time! You have Kenny Bernstein in Top Fuel and Funny Car along with Don "The Snake" Purdomme! Pro Stock would have to be Warren Johnson and Pro Stock Bike would definitely be Dave Schultz sponsored by Sunoco!
