Could this be it?

poire Hélène

[pwahr ay-LEHN]

A dessert consisting of a pear that has been poached in a vanilla-flavored SUGAR SYRUP, chilled, then placed on a scoop of vanilla ice cream and topped with warm chocolate sauce. This dessert is also called belle Hélène .

Or if this isn't it, try looking on www. epicurious.com and click on their dictionary feature. You can search food terms alphabetically.

Poire is French for Pear. I am not sure that what you were writing has anything to do with pork. I would have guessed that you would know what Pork Loin is...so maybe this will help.
