quote: "I can tell you why the British Troops are in Iraq: Great Britain is the US's little lap dog. You need to teach your PM some new tricks. The next big question would be: Why are US troops in Iraq?"
Agh not you again. I've said it before I'll say it again, without the UK the US would never have come into existence. Anyway to the question, The US back us up, and we back them up. Simple.

Because oil is critical to the economy not only for UK and USA
but for the whole world as you can see, oil prices have sky-
rocketed since the Iraqi war and any disruption of the flow could
be disastrous. Therefore the war is a necessary evil even though
I am strongly against any violence. So, whether we like it or not,
going to war with Iraq is a necessity. If the UN had more bite than
bark, they should be there to keep law and order for a smooth
transition of Government.

you wanna be careful with questions like that because you will get a lot of snooty nosed americans come in saying leave all the uk troops over there and why are the U.S troops in iraq etc...
I think war is pointless all it does is infuriate people and insight more terrorism and at the end of the day if they had nukes then it would be too late anyways no matter what happens because as soon as nuclear war is declared goodbye world!
I dont think our troops should be in iraq and neither should america but i think personally america did it to try and prove just how powerful they are like modern day nazis. I mean ive seen the americans way of life how they revolve around god etc,, they are just as bad as the terrorists whio insight religious hatred. relgion is the cause of all the crap in modern day society without it no one would have anything to fight over..

Because you want to feel important. I mean seriously whats the last thing England did for anybody or itself? Nothing since the Industrial Revolution; you have what? 12,000 troops there? Thats not helping very much at all, America wouldnt miss you if you left.

The Brits are there to try and keep themselves from becoming irrelevant like the French have become. The Brits don't have that many troops there in the first place.

No. You, as a Brit cannot. All of the English speaking industrialized nations sit in the lap of the USA. Brits, Kiwis, Aussies RSA, Canada....
Then we wonder why the Euros, Asians, and Arabs stick together no matter what.

Oil will benefit both the US and Britain (That's what this is all about, control ) but unfortunately like Nigeria the oil companies will run the country giving backhanders to government and millitary to turn a blind eye to the poverty that exsists within the country.
Can only get worse really !
