People who lie constantly are often called pathological liars. That's not an official clinical diagnosis, which means it's not listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fourth Edition, or DSM-IV. But chronic lying in adults is often a manifestation of antisocial personality disorder (also known as sociopathy). Sociopaths are often deceitful and manipulative in order to gain personal profit or pleasure.

people who lie about everything, even when it is not necessary, do so because they have no value of who they are. They want to be accepted, and think the truth may not be acceptable, but a lie would be- it would sound much better. My husband X lies all the time and the consequences are, no one believes anything anymore- even if it is the truth.
Medical condition- I don't think so. Sin condition- yup.
The truth sets you free and keeps your mind and your life from cluttering. These people lie to themselves all the time- therefore they live as a srtanger in their own body.

yes and it is called going to mental health, and working through this, cause lying is a medicinal condition. So people just can't stop, so they need to go to a place that can help with that condition.

I know someone who I refer to as a habitual liar. Every time someone lies the loose a bit of themselves. Those who lie about everything have no true value of themselves. I feel sorry for someone who doesn't know their true self.
