I personally would rather see you be a follower of the teachings of Jesus than a Christian.

There is a very big difference you know.

True Christians are the Church. Most gather together in buildings to worship and fellowship.

The church Jesus meant to establish was one based upon actions towards those in need. If going to church serves this need for you (maybe you take your grandma with you, or maybe there you give an offering you wouldn't normally give) then do so.

Going to church because you think its obligated, or because people pressure you, serves only the hypocrites need to loudly proclaim their faith by parading it in front of others. Genuine acts in silence are worth far more than symbolic lamentations in public.

It dependson the church. There are many churches that provide invaluable support and educational opportunities. Plus, they should provide opportunities for service within their community in addition to missionary works. Find one that has an educated pastor that doesn't dumb down the Bible.

Church is a place of worship for Christians. I don't think you wont get into heaven if you don't go to church, some people say that if you don't go you wont get into heaven. It is a man made structure for worship, you can worship anywhere you want to, if you don't want to with others...what is wrong with that?

It depends what church, I found more hypocrites in church then out on the streets. Church doesn't save people, Jesus does!

You don't have to be one to do the other, or do one to be the other. I am a non-affiliated follower of Jesus the Christ. I attend churches for the fellowship. That doesn't mean I don't believe the Bible or certain truths. A Blessed Christmas to you.

As for me being Christian...I can't say much about it!
As for going to church, it sucks! I miss my old church even if I fell asleep during the sermons!
