I have hunted my entire life and if you listen to PETA people, every answer you have gotten so far is wrong.
Of course, I think PETA is wrong.
I eat what I shoot, catch. I don't like predator hunting.
Best thing about hunting.....squirrel and dumplings :)

It is part of our job as humans to manage the wildlife on this planet. Hunting is not only a good and proven management tool, but also a great source of natural food that has not been genetically altered or fed an unnatural or unhealthy diet.
I kill an average of 3 deer each year. I love the steaks and roasts, and my dogs are happy for weeks after deer season chewing on the bones.
Here in Virginia, seasons and limits are set that maintain wild animal populations at healthy levels, and there are more deer and turkeys now than there were 100 years ago.

Without hunters buying licenses and culling the herds as prescribed by wildlife management, the government would have to hire people to do that. Without hunting there would be many more wildlife management staff on the payroll to cull the herds and no revenue from sales of licenses. If the herds are allowed to grow unchecked there would be safety and health issues because the animals would overpopulate the parks and towns. Hunting will never be a bad thing.

It is good because it bonds the generations of your family together. You are doing something that is complex that has been taught to you by your father. He learned it from his father and added in things he has picked up. You learned it from your father and added in what you have learned before you teach it to your child. It is a complex skillset that is ever changing and forever evolving as the skills and stories are passed down through the generations of your family.

Hunters are the #1 financial supporters of the outdoors and wildlife. That is where the money they spend to hunt & fish goes.

There really isn't anything bad about hunting wild animals, unless they are endangered. Some lunatics think that hunting animals is bad, but they are wrong. We weren't put on this earth to serve animals, they were put here to serve us.

It's actually neither "good" or "bad" in the strict sense of those words.
It is however perfectly NATURAL........Man is an omnivore that has harvested the meat provided by animals since before we climbed down out of the trees.
Those who become vehemently anti-meat are the real "evil"....they pervert nature and the natural order of things.

of course hunting envolves the killing of animals but it also helps to manage local population if done in accordance to regulations. money in gennerated from this which goes to pay people to determine the number of deer throughout and then determine the number of tags that should be issued. since many predators are dwindleing in numbers hunting the populations until the predators numbers recover and the money from hunting goes to help that.

Great - You harvest excess animals and hunters use the meat. Brings millions of dollars to the economy - and loas of dollars to research animals and buy land for wildlife habitat
