No of course you can't. They're there for a specific purpose, partly to let you enjoy your food but also as a warning to stop you eating something that may be harmful. If you want to lose weight then do it properly, and I don't mean a faddy diet. Eat sensibly using a balanced diet, plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables and exercise at least three times a week for 20 minutes that leaves you perspiring.

A good type of eating plan is
Breakfast : Cereal and milk or fresh fruit
Mid-Day : Pasta based dish
Evening : Meat and vegetables.

Supper : Dry toast.

Exercise : walking or swimming

Wow i havent heard of anything like that before. I have a cold now and i have no sense of taste at all.. but thats because i cant really smell anything and your nose is the main component to your taste. So what exactly are you trying to do? Make it so you cant taste so you can eat unpleasant-tasting things that will help you lose weight?
