One of my hard drive (F) is still inaccessible and the only way that I knew of to make it back to normal is by using Scandisk. But Scandisk can't detect Drive F at all and I was wondering if anybody knew how to make use of Windows XP's Command Prompt to run Scandisk on my Drive F? Your help is greatly needed. Thanks.

You will first have to access drive F. Assuming that your drive F is a second hard drive it must be activated first. Once you have it showing you should be able to run Scandisk on that drivr.

If that will not work, Right Click on the Icon that represents Drive F. Click on Properties. Click on TOOLS. You now have the options to Check for errors and fix them as well as run Defragment on this drive.

Good luck and hope this helps. Happy Hollidays

Scandisk?...try chkdsk! Is this a partitioned drive? Or a truly seperate hard drive?
