what does the slang "grinding" mean?
Because I hear my friends talking about "Yeah, and they were grinding at the dance...."
confused here....

Like, "Christy and Tom were grinding at the school dance." I'm pretty sure they didn't mean taking drugs....

OK, grinding is a dance form usually at parties or school dances and is usually to either Rap or Hip Hop.
The girl is in front of the guy and they are both facing the same way. So the back of the girl is facing the front of the guy. The girl is pressed up against the guy. The guy bends his knees so that his pelvic area is at the same height as the girls. Both the guy and the girl move in rythm to the music. The girl is the leader and can do some fancy moves while the guy just follows her hips and keeps his moving with hers.
Now to the dirty part, the girl normally rubs her *** all over the guy's dick. Shaking and rubbing(grinding) it really hard. Basically emulating sex. The guy basically just pushes back so that they are "grinding" into each other. The guy normally puts his hand onto the girls hips/stomach, however, if the guy and the girl are really into the hands may drift up or down. Sometimes the guy can get an erection which just adds to the idea that its sex with clothes on.
If your wondering how to dance I would recommend that you just do what feels natural keep your hips moving to the beet and make sure that you get close enough to the guy
