Yeah, it'll be okay. Whenever I'm loading the dishwasher, my dog is always right there "helping" me rinse them off. I tried to tell her I don't need help, but she doesn't seem to listen. :)

With most dogs, yes -- there are some dogs with sensitive stomachs that can't handle even that little bit of people food.
Oh -- and never let them lick off a plate that has held chocolate, which is poisonous for dogs. That little bit probably won't hurt them but do you really want to take that chance? After all -- it probably won't hurt you to eat just a FEW pellets of rat poison, wanna try?

We have always let our dogs "prewash" the plates. And I actually found my cocker spaniel standing in the dishwasher one time, making sure that everything was cleaned off!
Just be sure there are no bones, chocolate or onions on the dishes.

No. The ease of cleaning dishes after the dog has licked them is canceled out by the amount of work you put into cleaning up after the dog. But it is cute to watch.

Sure. It's kinda gross but as long as you use the dishwasher AFTER the dog it should be fine.

A dog has a cleaner mouth than humans do, so I would say go for it. The dishwasher cleans all of that off anyway.

Sure Thang. My dogs do it every night. All I have to do is ask them if their ready to do dishes and their in the kitchen quicker than the blink of an eye they love that part of their chores :)
